    WiMAX Broadband Wireless System

Vyrreo 3500 3.5 GHz WiMAX Broadband Wireless System

Vyrreo 3500 is a powerful WiMAX (IEEE 802.16-2004) broadband wireless system that utilizes a highly integrated architecture to provide flexible deployments in a wide range of frequency allocations.

Key Features

  •   Up to 22 Mbps throughput using 64QAM modulation in a 7 MHz channel.
  •   Time Division Duplexing (TDD) for maximum spectral efficiency.
  •   True NLOS (non line of sight) performance using OFDM.
  •   Full QoS (Quality of Service) to support real-time services & guaranteed service levels.
  •   Power Connect audible installation assistance to facilitate customer self-install.

Vyrreo Integrated Radio Modules

The Vyrreo system includes two fully integrated outdoor radio modules that offer a single box solution for WiMAX applications in the 3.3 to 3.8 GHz band:

OBR3500 – WiMAX outdoor base station.
OSR3500 – WiMAX outdoor subscriber station.

Both modules are contained in a weatherproof, sealed housing with an integrated antenna or NFconnector to accommodate external antennas.

Key Features

  • 802.16-2004 OFDM-compliant PHY & MAC.
  • Software-selectable channel bandwidths of 1.75, 3.5 and 7 MHz supports high data rates & penetration without hardware changes.
  • Time Division Duplexing (TDD) delivers maximum spectral efficiency at lowest cost.
  • Half Duplex FDD (HFDD) available on OSR3500 for use in FDD systems.
  • Fast adaptive modulation maximizes range and capacity.
  • Power over Ethernet offers convenient single cable connection and minimizes equipment requirements at base station and customer premises.
  • Integrated GPS timing provides automatic base station synchronization.
  • Integrated multi-strike lightning protection reduces downtime and maintenance costs.

WES800 WiMAX Ethernet Switch

The WES800 is used as a termination point and backbone network connection for up to 8 Vyrreo base station sectors.

Eight Ethernet ports are provided with automatic device detection/power disconnection (based on IEEE802.3af) and are compatible with both powered and unpowered Ethernet devices.

An RJ45 10/100/1000 Ethernet uplink port or an optional SFP module (for 10/100/1000BaseT copper or 1000BaseX fiber connections) is used to connect to the backbone network.

Features

  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) for up to 8 devices in 1 RU rack space.
  • RJ45 10/100/1000 Ethernet uplink port for backbone network connection offers SFP module for copper or fiber links.
  • Ethernet switch and power supply modules are hot-swappable.
  • Dual redundant power supplies (optional).
  • -48 VDC power supply (optional).

NMS800 WiMAX Network Management System

The NMS800 provides system operators with comprehensive tools to operate and manage Vyrreo WiMAX networks.

The centralized design of the NMS8000 simplifies many common maintenance and administration tasks by allowing secure password-protected access for qualified personnel to view and configure crucial network parameters from the field or at the office.

Features

  • Web-based control of all Vyrreo hardware.
  • Continuously monitors and logs critical base station and subscriber statistics, up/downlink CINR, RSSI and modulation/FEC (Rate ID).
  • On-demand report generation and analysis.
  • Optional SSP package adds complete subscriber station provisioning with custom service packages based on up/downstream data rates and priority.
